Twenty Three!

23?  What’s with 23, you might be wondering.  Well, 23 is my friend’s age as of today, whom I will call S. S and I have been childhood friends, we knew each other before we even knew our own names, we went to the same schools, the same college, our families are thick friends too. You get the picture, yeah. So I was having this little chat with her the other day, when she told me, her parents are looking for a good boy to be her groom. As teenagers, when we started to understand how things worked out in this world, we had taken a conscious decision, of leaving the responsibility of finding a good husband in our parents’ hands, so much like the typical Indian daughter. It would be wrong to say that in this journey of 23 years, we have never ever wanted to waver from the decision we took for ourselves. There were guys, a lot of them, but there never was a boyfriend. Though I must say at this point that my dear S had her fair share of adventures, went around with a couple of g

The Wheels That Keep Me Moving

In my journey towards weight loss, it is of prime importance to stay motivated. My hunt for motivational videos, articles, pictures and quotes lead me to various pages, where I get to read some good stuff, some better than the others and a few that are not even worth mentioning. Today, here I am sharing a few quotes that I really feel about, and help me keep going. Hopefully, it will inspire you too, to chase your dreams and realize them, one by one, but every single one.  ü The only time it's too late to change yourself is when you're dead. Until then, you're simply making excuses or lying to yourself. ü You won't fail if you're not perfect, you'll fail if you're not committed to improving yourself slightly each day. ü "When one approach is not working to reach the desired goal, that's not a reason to abandon the goal. Instead, it is time to devise another approach." - Ralph Marston ü "Never trade what you want the mo

The Power is Yours!

We all have our so called ups and downs. But, of late, what I realized is that, only you have the power to let yourself feel down. If somebody's words affect you, its because You let it. Truly, in all senses, only You have the power to keep your boat moving forward or let it sink. Isn't that empowering? It adds the weight of responsibility on your shoulders too. If there is one person who is responsible for what you are, where you are today, it is nobody other than You. True, accepted that everyday is a new beginning. But how you tackle it, is entirely left to you. Like they say, whether you prefer to stay indoors and complain of the rain outside, or you choose to go outside and dance in the rain is entirely your own independent choice. It is of utmost importance to realize that, unless you let something bother you it won’t.  Leaving you with a 5 minute video.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=havdo8-k6Fo&feature=related Do watch.. Remember, the power is Yours!
